MX SPORTS SELECTS UNADILLA’S PRO TRACK AS

NORTHEAST AMATEUR REGIONAL QUALIFIER SITE

Unadilla is pleased to announce that we have been selected by MX Sports to host the Northeast Amateur Regional Qualifier on June 19-20, 2010.

If that weren’t exciting enough, the 2010 Regional will be run on Unadilla’s pro track. This will be the first time since 1999 that amateur MXers will have a chance to race on one of the premier tracks in the country. “We are thrilled to have been selected to run a crucial race in the road to Loretta Lynn’s” stated Unadilla’s Greg Robinson. “While we are used to hosting large amateur events, this one will have the added excitement of exposing racers to the challenges faced by pro-level racers. We have also changed the layout in several sections which will add a whole new flavor to the event.” The most notable is right along the main vendor’s row where a bridge has been added. “We basically moved two big hills and filled in the valley where the prior track ran, made another valley, and then put a bridge over the top. It will be ready to go for this event,” added Robinson. “Although U-2 has many of the same features as its big brother, we know that there is an aura surrounding the big track that is known as “Unadilla”. We have been asked for years to open it back up for amateur motorcycles. We felt that this race alone provided the best time to do so.”

The weekend begins with an optional practice day on Friday, the 18th, open only to those registered for the Northeast Amateur Regional. Specific event information will be posted once it is available.
