Where History Meets the Present … It’s All About Racing!

PRESENTED BY

BUY TIX NOW

Eleven years ago when we opened the gates for the first MX Rewind, we had high hopes that it would become a destination event for vintage racers from all over. Thanks to the overwhelming support of the vintage racing community, Hallman Racing MX Rewind has become one of the largest vintage racing events anywhere.

Hallman Racing MX Rewind presented by NYCM Insurance is for those who love to race history. There is plenty of cross-country, grass track and motocross racing. THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES WITH ONE CLASS EXCEPTION ON SUNDAY...Hallman Racing MX Rewind is all about celebrating everything we all love about two wheel racing. Off the track, there’s nothing better than kicking back and bench racing around a campfire.

Hallman Racing MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance….Where It’s All About Racing!!

This event will run with no attendance restrictions and no limit on entries. We welcome all. We encourage you to make use of the hand sanitizer stations located in high traffic areas. We do not require proof of vaccination or a mask. It’s the outdoors! But if you feel safer wearing one, that’s up to you.

HALLMAN RACING MX REWIND 2022 WELCOMES GENERAL SPECTATORS TO THE EVENT. NO PROOF OF VACCINE OR NEGATIVE COVID TEST REQUIRED. MASKS ARE OPTIONAL.

ARRIVAL INFORMATION

Thursday and Friday we will use Gate S4 as both an entrance and exit.

Saturday and Sunday we will use Gates S1/S2 by the large white barn as the entrance and exit gate.

See the click button to the left for a facility map showing the location of Gates S4 and Gates S1/S2.

VINTAGE RACING

NO MEMBERSHIPS OF ANY KIND ARE NEEDED FOR ANY EVENT AT HALLMAN RACING MX REWIND. Racing all three days (Friday-Sunday) is pretty easy to do and the eligible years for the cross-country event has been expanded to include up to 1999 year models.

A couple of series have decided to use Hallman Racing MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance as points paying events and we’re happy to have them. But whether you are after points or not, you still do NOT need any membership of any kind to race any day at Hallman Racing MX Rewind. So come and plan to have some fun.

Hallman Racing MX Rewind remains all about celebrating everything we all love about two wheel racing. Off the track, there’s nothing better than kicking back with old and new friends and bench racing around a campfire. Hallman Racing MX Rewind….Where It’s All About Racing!!

All motocross racing except for cross-country and the grass track takes place on the Unadilla Pro National track, rewound to be vintage friendly.

PRE-ENTRY INFORMATION

Pre-entry and post-entry are offered for all racing. The pre-entry links are posted below for all four racing events. Pre-entry will close June 19th at 11:00 PM EST. All classes will be offered during post-registration at the track.

WHEN YOU PRE-ENTER, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL AND/OR TEXT MESSAGE WITH A LINK TO AN ON-LINE INSURANCE RELEASE. UNTIL YOU COMPLETE THE RELEASE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTERED INTO THE EVENT. ONE RELEASE PER RACING DISCIPLINE WILL BE GENERATED SO IF YOU ENTER 2 EVENTS, YOU WILL NEED TO COMPLETE 2 RELEASES. TRUST US-IT’S NOT A LONG PROCESS AND IT WILL SAVE YOU TIME AT SIGN UP SINCE IT WILL BE ONCE LESS THING YOU NEED TO SIGN ON-SITE. NEW FOR 2022- BOTH PARENTS MUST SIGN FOR A MINOR RACER.

IMPORTANT MINOR RACERS INFORMATION

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MINOR RACERS (any racer under 18 years old):

We are now required to have BOTH parents sign the insurance release in order to allow any racer under the age of 18 to race any of the events at Hallman Racing MX Rewind. The easiest way to accomplish this, especially if one parent will not be in attendance, is to pre-register. Otherwise, BOTH parents must come to registration.  There are exceptions in place if one parent is deceased. We are not allowed to grant exceptions in cases of divorce or if one parent elected to stay home so please plan ahead.

CLASS INFORMATION

THERE ARE NO CLASS LIMITS ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES WITH ONE EXCEPTION ON SUNDAY. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ON WHAT CLASS YOU SHOULD ENTER FOR ANY OF THE WEEKEND’S RACING EVENTS, EITHER REACH OUT TO US OR ENTER THE CLASS YOU THINK  YOU SHOULD BE IN. WE CAN MAKE ANY CLASS CHANGES THAT NEED TO BE MADE AT THE EVENT. NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!

WE DID ADD A FEW CLASSES TO THE LINE UP ON SATURDAY SO MORE BIKES ARE ELIGIBLE.

SUNDAY’S POST VINTAGE CLASSES COVER BIKES THROUGH 1999. WE DID ADD A FEW CLASSES TO THE LINE UP.

CROSS-COUNTRY

  • 8:00 am riders’ meeting for all cross-country racers.

SERIES POINTS

Two series —ACR and Northeast Vintage Riders’ Club– are awarding series points at Hallman Racing MX Rewind. Whether you are going for points or not, all classes are open to all riders as long as you and your bike fit the class requirements. We have noted which classes are points paying for which series.

If you are going for Northeast Vintage Riders Club points, you can click on the link to the left to see the class match up chart.

SATURDAY MX

Our pre-weekend plan is for bikes up to 1977 to take the track first with both practice and racing so that the track develops in a way that matches the older bikes. That’s the “plan” but we will review that once pre-entry closes. Everyone wants a race order that gives racers at least a 1 moto separation, although a minimum of 2 is preferred. If splitting the day into 2 parts means that back-to-back motos are the result, we will not be able to split the day into two. Back-to-back motos will not make anyone happy and will also push the end of racing closer to dark than anyone wants.

In the ideal, since we know that there are a lot of racers with bikes from 1978-1999 who want to race Saturday as well, once the pre-78 bikes finish their second moto, we will start practice for the added classes with machines from 1978-1999 and go racing both motos for these bikes right after. Registration for 1978-1999 classes only will be extended to noon on Saturday.

By splitting up the day, both groups get a track that develops in a way that more closely matches the capability of those bikes. We don’t anticipate the day being any longer than last year. But again, splitting up the day will depend on having a workable race order that doesn’t result in racers coming off the track and heading right back for the start line. Unfortunately there is no way to know for sure how this is going to play out until the event arrives.

Remember, all classes are open to anyone who fits the class regardless of whether you are racing for points.

RACING FOR A CAUSE

Many of you asked if we would bring back the Racing For A Cause food drive. That’s an easy one! For those who wish to bring a canned food item or two to Hallman Racing MX Rewind, we will take your donation to the New Berlin Food Pantry. The last food drive at Hallman Racing MX Rewind saw over 175 cans of food donated. It made a big dent in fulfilling the summer demand. We’re happy to help out again this year. So, let’s try and break 175 items this year.

CAMPING PASSES

Staying on-site has become a favorite as people join their family around the campfire. It’s time this year to get back to the tall tales, memories of old, and relaxing with beer in hand with old and new friends. No need to spend time going back and forth to a motel when you can put your feet up at the end of the day and motocross until, well, whenever!! Camping makes it not only easier to enjoy Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights without the hassle of having to drive anywhere at the end of the evening but has you right here ready to go the next morning.

Camping spots are first come, first served and are primitive spots. Water is available to fill tanks/drums but not for individual hook up. We do our best to accommodate groups wanting to park next to each other. If you arrive together, you can definitely park together! Otherwise, we do our best to accommodate getting everyone parked together who wants to be together.

  • Camping gates open Thursday, June 23rd at 1pm and close at 11 pm nightly.
  • Enhanced spacing will be utilized. We are prepared to use the entire facility but doubt we will need to.
  • Modern toilets and showers are available on-site.
  • Each camping spot will hold one vehicle (including a trailer in tow)
  • Hook-ups are not available but there is access to potable water upon arrival and throughout the weekend
  • For groups wanting to camp near each other, the easiest way is to plan to arrive together. Otherwise, we will do our best to get everyone parked near each other as you arrive.
  • Please bring your own trash bags. Dumpsters will be available to carry your trash to.

VENDORS

Vending must be reserved and paid for in advance.

Unadilla is looking for vendors of non-food items to be involved at Hallman Racing MX Rewind 2022. Examples include but are not limited to: vintage racing clothing, unique t-shirts (non-event related), jewelry, stickers, patches, racing signs, art work, items of interest to people who spend time in the outdoors and traveling.

Vendors can specify whether they wish to be near the starting line, trackside or near the roadway leading to registration and the food concession.

As a vendor, you can begin your weekend on Thursday and continue right up to Sunday. All size spots are available, with the smallest spot being a 10’x10’. Vending spots do not have any hook-ups.

If you have an interest in being part of this event, we would love to talk to you.
