MX REWIND
Presented by NYCM INSURANCEJUNE 9 – JUNE 11, 2023
Where racing history comes alive…..
Thanks to the overwhelming support of the vintage racing community, MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance has become one of the largest vintage racing events anywhere. It’s a full three day weekend of racing but flexible to how much or how little a racer wishes to race.
MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance is for those who love to race history. There is plenty of cross-country, grass track and motocross racing. THERE IS NO LIMIT ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE Y2K CLASS ON SUNDAY. NO MEMBERSHIPS OF ANY KIND ARE REQUIRED. WE WILL NOT ASK IF YOU HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE BUT WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU DO! ….. MX Rewind is all about celebrating everything we all love about two wheel racing. Off the track, there’s nothing better than kicking back and bench racing around a campfire with new and old friends alike.
Again this year we are holding a Racing For A Cause food drive for the local food bank. We would be happy to receive your canned food items or personal care products at sign up.
And BREAKING NEWS…we will be the host site of the U.S. Memorial to Jaroslav Falta. We have posted details below after the information on racing.
MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance ….Where It’s All About Racing!!
This event will run with no attendance restrictions and no limit on entries. We welcome all—racers, families, crew, spectators, etc. There will be hand sanitizer stations located in high traffic areas. We do not require proof of vaccination or a mask. It’s the outdoors! But if you feel safer wearing one, that’s up to you.
ARRIVAL INFORMATION
Thursday and Friday we will use Gate S4 as both an entrance and exit.
Saturday and Sunday we will use Gates S1/S2 by the large white barn as the entrance and exit gate.
See the click button to the left for a facility map showing the location of Gates S4 and Gates S1/S2.
VINTAGE RACING
NO MEMBERSHIPS OF ANY KIND ARE NEEDED FOR ANY EVENT AT MX REWIND Presented by NYCM Insurance . RACERS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO SHOW ANY PROOF OF HEALTH INSURANCE BUT WE DO RECOMMEND YOU HAVE IT. Racing all three days (Friday-Sunday) is pretty easy to do and the eligible years for the cross-country event will again include up to 1999 year models.
A couple of series have decided to use MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance as points paying events and we’re happy to have them. But whether you are after points or not, you still do NOT need any membership of any kind to race any day at MX Rewind. So come and plan to have some fun.
MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance remains all about celebrating everything we all love about two wheel racing. Off the track, there’s nothing better than kicking back with old and new friends and bench racing around a campfire. MX Rewind….Where It’s All About Racing!!
All motocross racing except for cross-country and the grass track takes place on the Unadilla Pro National track, rewound to be vintage friendly.

WHAT IS ACR?
Well first, ACR stands for American Classic Racing. ACR is a non-membership organization that coordinates classes for vintage motocross racing and runs an annual Vintage/Vet Race Series in the Northeast. ACR’s philosophy is one of inclusion. If you want to race a vintage bike, then they want to help you find a class that you and your bike can race in. They don’t look for reasons why you can’t race a class and have simple and straightforward guidelines. Their goal is for families and friends to enjoy the history of these old bikes and a fun weekend at the races. ACR is strictly a volunteer organization and relies on member supported donations. ACR collects no membership fees or sanction fees or per racer fees. They do it because they love it. Simple as that.
For more information on the ACRMX Racing Series go to: http://www.acrmx.com and https://www.facebook.com/americanclassicracing
PRE-ENTRY INFORMATION
Pre-entry has ended but no worries…post entry for all classes (except Y2K) for all three days is always available at the event.
IMPORTANT MINOR RACERS INFORMATION
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR MINOR RACERS (any racer under 18 years old):
We are now required to have BOTH parents sign the insurance release in order to allow any racer under the age of 18 to race any of the events at MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance. The easiest way to accomplish this, especially if one parent will not be in attendance, is to pre-register. Otherwise, BOTH parents must come to registration. There is an exception in place if one parent is deceased. We are not allowed to grant exceptions in cases of divorce or if one parent elected to stay home so please plan ahead.
CLASS INFORMATION
THERE ARE NO CLASS LIMITS ON THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE Y2K CLASS ON SUNDAY. IF YOU ARE UNSURE ON WHAT CLASS YOU SHOULD ENTER FOR ANY OF THE WEEKEND’S RACING EVENTS, EITHER REACH OUT TO US OR ENTER THE CLASS YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BE IN. WE CAN MAKE ANY CLASS CHANGES THAT NEED TO BE MADE AT THE EVENT. NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!!
THERE ARE A FEW CLASSES ADDED TO THE LINE UP ON SATURDAY SO MORE BIKES ARE ELIGIBLE TO RACE.
SUNDAY’S POST VINTAGE CLASSES COVER BIKES THROUGH 1999 WITH THREE EXCEPTIONS—Y2K AND +50 DISC BRAKE AND +60 DISC BRAKE. WE ALSO HEARD FROM YOU AND ADDED AN OLDER BIKE CLASS TO SUNDAY.

Whether you are going for points or not, all classes are open to all riders as long as you and your bike fit the class requirements. We have noted which classes are points paying for which series.
If you are going for Northeast Vintage Riders Club points, you can click on the link to the left to see the class match up chart.
SATURDAY MX
Saturday’s classes are weighed towards older bikes. But we do add in a few classes so that if you have a “newer” bike up to 1999 you can still race on Saturday. We do start a bit earlier than you might be used to so that we can do our best to be finished by dinner time and the much loved bench racing over the dinners you love to cook and share and campfire time can start.
Remember, all classes are open to anyone who fits the class regardless of whether you are racing for points.

U.S. Memorial to Jaroslav Falta

It’s been 45 years since Jaroslav Falta last raced at Unadilla. Sadly he passed away last year. This year at MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance we will pay tribute to the racing contributions Falta made. Martina Falta Cope, Jaroslav’s daughter, will be at Rewind with copies of The Stolen Title. This book not only documents what it was like to race from behind The Iron Curtain, but the hows and whys behind Falta not being awarded the 1974 250cc World Championship—a Championship he rightfully won. Falta is CZ racing history.
- Jaroslav Falta Memorial CZ Zone-if you have a CZ, please bring it to put on display in this memorial area. Of course you’re welcome to race it as well! All we ask is you please let us know you are bringing one so we are prepared. No charge to display.
- CZ only parade lap on Saturday and Sunday. Let’s fill the track with CZs. No charge for the parade lap but if you aren’t racing, please check in at registration.
- Meet Martina Falta Cope and learn about The Stolen Title. She will have copies of the book for purchase and will autograph it. It’s a highly recommended read.
- Saturday night social at the Falta CZ Memorial.

RACING FOR A CAUSE
Racing For A Cause food and personal products drive returns after a successful drive last year. For those who wish to bring a canned food item or two or a personal care item or two to MX Rewind Presented by NYCM Insurance, we will take your donation to the New Berlin Food Pantry. It’s easy, just bring your donation to sign up and we will take it from there.
The food bank’s popular food items are: peanut butter, canned tuna, pastas, canned fruit and canned vegetables. In the personal care area, shampoo is especially appreciated. But you aren’t limited to these items. Check out what’s on sale in your area and grab it!
Last year’s MX Rewind food drive resulted in over 250 cans of food and over 150 personal care items donated. It made a big dent in fulfilling the summer demand. We’re happy to help out again this year. So, let’s try and break that count this year.

CAMPING PASSES
While camping spots do not sell out, you can purchase your camping pass in advance online.
Staying on-site has become a favorite as people join their family around the campfire. It’s time this year to get back to the tall tales, memories of old, and relaxing with beer in hand with old and new friends. No need to spend time going back and forth to a motel when you can put your feet up at the end of the day and motocross until, well, whenever!! Camping makes it not only easier to enjoy Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights without the hassle of having to drive anywhere at the end of the evening but has you right here ready to go the next morning.
Camping spots are first come, first served and are primitive spots. Water is available to fill tanks/drums but not for individual hook up. We do our best to accommodate groups wanting to park next to each other. If you arrive together, you can definitely park together! Otherwise, we do our best to accommodate getting everyone parked together who wants to be together.
- Camping gates open Thursday, June 8th at 1pm and close at 11 pm nightly.
- Site spacing will be utilized. We are prepared to use the entire facility but doubt we will need to.
- Modern toilets and showers are available on-site.
- Each camping spot will hold one vehicle (including a trailer in tow)
- Hook-ups are not available but there is access to potable water upon arrival and throughout the weekend
- For groups wanting to camp near each other, the easiest way is to plan to arrive together. Otherwise, we will do our best to get everyone parked near each other as you arrive.
- Please bring your own trash bags. Dumpsters will be available to carry your trash to.
